The word Troitsa is Russian for Trinity and denotes that this wine comprises a unique blend of the little known or grown varieties in Australia of Carmenere, Saperavi and Petit Verdot.
Carmenere is known for its Ruby colour and blackcurrant and plum palate, Saperavi is almost black and has spice and intense berry fruits while Petit Verdot is purple in colour with a cherry and berry palate.
Combined they have produced a unique mulberry coloured wine with a delicate tobacco leaf, violets, dark roses and savoury herbs aroma. Its palate is on the full side of medium bodied and exhibits morello cherry, plum and blackberry characters.
The wine has good length, fine velvet tannins and a cigar finish. It is a wine suited as a stand alone drink or perfect accompaniment with most hearty meals.
