The Mildura Irrigation Colony was founded on temperance principles with the hope that settlers would opt for the European drinking tradition of fine wines in moderation, rather than excessive consumption of spirits. In 1888 the Chaffey Brothers established Chateau Mildura to produce such wines. A selection of the best quality wines have been released under the Psyche Reserve label.
This 2007 Reserve Viognier part matured in French oak exhibits honeyed fruit aromas with a pear, spice and ripe lemon palate. It has a smooth creamy finish with excellent acid balance.
This wine is ready for immediate consumption or short term cellaring. A great match with any creamy pasta dish or white meats.
