The Mildura Irrigation Colony was founded on temperance principles with the hope that settlers would opt for the European drinking tradition of fine wines in moderation, rather than excessive consumption of spirits. In 1888 the Chaffey Brothers established Chateau Mildura to produce such wines. A selection of the best quality wines have been released under the Psyche Reserve label.
This classic French blend produced in open top fermenters has aromas of spicy plum and mulberry with the Viognier providing lifted floral tones of orange blossom and lime. The palate has delicious ripe dark berry fruit characters, hints of spice, subtle oak and a crisp finish with ripe fine tannins.
